Reviewer rewards

The Reviewer Rewards program, launched in January 2019, seeks to recognize reviewers’ contribution of expertise and time. The program offers frequent reviewers the opportunity to submit a new manuscript, as corresponding author, with guaranteed external review. Submissions using the reward must fit within the scope of the journal and will be held to the same standard for publication as other manuscripts considered by the Editorial Board.

Each January, qualifying reviewers will receive an email notifying them of an earned reward, which they can elect to use for 1 submission in the same calendar year. To qualify, a reviewer must have completed reviews on time for 3 separate manuscripts in the preceding 18 months. The qualifying reviewer can designate his or her submission for guaranteed review during the manuscript submission process.

Please note:

Qualifying reviewers may only use 1 guaranteed review per calendar year.
Reviews of revised manuscripts are not counted toward earning a reviewer reward.
ASCI members whose dues are current receive a separate benefit for guaranteed external review and may not earn Reviewer Rewards in addition.
