Low-dose heparin prevents coagulation-induced apoptosis

Dear Sir, the cascades of intravascular coagulation and inflammation could be stopped by low-dose heparin. This should be the first line of intervention in ischemia/reperfusion-induced acute renal failure. Most renal failures following cardiac surgery could be prevented.
