Isolated rat neonatal cardiomyocytes were treated in vitro with IgG from luciferase-targeting siRNA–treated (n = 5) or hAgt-targeting siRNA–treated (n = 8) preeclamptic (PE) rats. Data are presented as an increase in beating rate of cardiomyocytes after treatment with IgG compared with baseline. Administration of AT1 receptor blocker (losartan) (n = 5 each) was used to show that the effect is mediated via the AT1 receptor (***P < 0.001; 1-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post hoc test; mean ± SEM).
