We compared cytokine and chemokine induction in mice after sciatic nerve crush and
chronic constriction injury (CCI) by quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain
reaction. In both nerve lesion paradigms, transcripts for tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α),
interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-10, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) were
