After peripheral nerve damage macrophages infiltrate the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) in
which cell bodies of lesioned neurons are located. However, infiltration of macrophages into
the DRGs was also reported in complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)-induced inflammation
