Abstract purpose: The pleiotropic inflammatory effects of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)
prompted a study of this cytokine in familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), a recurrent
polyserositis of unknown etiology. patients and methods: Thirty-six asymptomatic and 24
