Sirt1, a NAD-dependent protein deacetylase, is reported to regulate intracellular metabolism
and attenuate reactive oxidative species (ROS)-induced apoptosis leading to longevity and
acute stress resistance. We created transgenic (TG) mice with kidney-specific
