Tissue factor (TF, CD142 [1]) initiates blood clotting through interaction with factor (F)
VII/VIIa. TF is also known to participate in signal transduction, angiogenesis, embryogenesis,
or tumor metastasis [Rottingen et al, 1995, Masuda et al, 1996, Zhang et al, 1994, Carmeliet
et al, 1996, Bromberg et al, 1995]. Among the leukocytes, only monocytes have been
