Inherited Long QT and Brugada syndromes cause syncope and sudden cardiac death due
to ventricular tachyarrhythmias. Diagnosis may be difficult and the syncopal events are
commonly misdiagnosed as neurally mediated (vaso-vagal) episodes or as “seizures”. The
