Methods Preparation of naturally occurring inhibitor. The isolation and partial purification of
the various urinary organic macro-molecules has been described previously [15]. Briefly, the
procedure consisted of successive Millipore filtration of three to five combined 24-hr urine
specimens from normal subjects through a 0.8-and 0.45-xm Gelman Industrial filter. The
