Publisher Summary Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) is a hydrolytic enzyme, produced by adipose
tissue, heart, skeletal muscle, as well as in small amounts by many other tissues. LPL is a
homodimeric protein located on the luminal surface of the vascular endothelium, being
anchored to the latter, by interaction with cell surface glycosaminoglycans. Lipoprotein
