Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases such as
Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Increased expression of
MMP-9 and TIMPs has been reported in postmortem AD and ALS brain tissue, as well as in
