OBJECTIVE: Serum alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST) levels
are commonly used as biochemical indicators of hepatocellular injury but can also detect
occult muscle disease. High concomitant serum creatine phosphokinase (CPK) levels can
