Abstract
Studies with rats given labelled leucine showed that 19% of total apolipoprotein was synthesized by intestine and 81% by liver. There was no evidence for other sources. The amount of synthesis decreased in the order apo E, apo B, apo A-I, apo C and apo A-IV.
