Hyperglycemia is associated with increased FOXO3a translocation. Enteric neurons were cultured in medium containing 5 or 20 mM glucose in the presence or absence of GDNF. Cells were cultured for 24 hours, fixed, and stained for FOXO3a and the neuronal marker peripherin.
