Encephalitogenic T cell response and cytokine profile in EAE mice. (A) Splenocytes isolated from GKO (IFN-γ–/–) and WT (IFN-γ+/+) mice at day 16 after immunization were examined for proliferation in the presence and absence (medium control) of the MOG peptide (5 μg/ml). Data are presented as mean cpm ± SD of triplicates. (B) Supernatants were collected from the above-mentioned culture after 48 hours and measured for the concentration of the indicated cytokines using ELISA. Values represent mean concentrations (pg/ml ± SD) of triplicates. Results were reproduced in 3 independent experiments. Asterisks represent statistical differences between groups; *P < 0.05.
